Summer Bishil was born in New York City. She is best-known for her part as Margo Hanson, in Syfy's fantasy show The Magicians. In 2007, she was selected by Variety as one of the 10 actors to watch. She portrayed another character of great power Taslima Jahangir in 2009's crime drama film Crossing Over for which she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award in the Best Female Lead category.
